Questions
How do I make a timeline?
In Timelines, tap +, type a name, tap Choose Album and pick an album from Photos. On Mac you can also choose a folder of images.
Why does it ask for access to Photos?
To read the album you pick. Photos are processed on your device and never leave it.
Can I add printed photos?
Yes, on iPhone and iPad: touch and hold a timeline in the list and choose Scan Physical Photos. Scans are saved to your photo library.
How do my timelines get to my other devices?
On their own, through iCloud, with the same Apple Account. The timelines sync; each device reads its own photo library.
Why don’t I see Describe?
Turn on Apple Intelligence in the app’s Settings. It needs a device with Apple Intelligence running iOS 27 or macOS 27.
The map is empty
It needs an internet connection and photos with a location.
AR doesn’t appear
It needs an iPhone or iPad with ARKit. There is no AR on Mac.
Is there a subscription or in-app purchases?
No. One purchase; iPhone, iPad and Mac are included.
